STRUCTURE OF PERSONS IN PAID EMPLOYMENT, BY AVERAGE NET AND GROSS EARNINGS BY ACTIVITIES, SITUATION AS IN MARCH 2025

 

Regarding the amount of net earnings paid for March 2025, the structure of persons in paid full-time employment in legal entities of the Republic of Croatia shows that 3.5% of them received up to 800 euro, 13.7% received from 801 to 1 000 euro and 50.8% received from 1 001 to 1 700 euro. Net earnings that exceeded 1 701 euro were received by 31.9% of persons in paid employment in legal entities.

Regarding the amount of gross earnings for March 2025, the structure of persons in paid full-time employment in legal entities of the Republic of Croatia shows that 6.3% of them received up to 970 euro, 36.9% received from 971 to 1 500 euro and 37.0% received from 1 501 to 2 500 euro. Gross earnings that exceeded 2 501 euro were received by 19.7% of persons in paid employment in legal entities.

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Since 2016, data on the structure of persons in employment by the amount of paid net and gross earnings in legal entities in the Republic in Croatia have been gathered by processing data from the Report on Income, Income Tax and Surtax as well as Contributions for Mandatory Insurances (JOPPD form), in effect since 1 January 2014.

All persons or entities that are payers of income for which the income tax regulations prescribe the obligation of accounting and paying deduction tax are under the obligation to submit the JOPPD form.

Data comprises persons in employment in legal entities of all types of ownership, government bodies as well as bodies of local and regional self-government units on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Persons employed in crafts and trades and free lances as well as employed insured persons – private farmers are not covered, so data on their pays are not included in the data on average earnings.
