FORECAST OF AGRICULTURAL PRICE INDICES, 2023

In 2023, the prices of agricultural goods output are expected to grow compared both to 2015 and to the previous year. The prices of crop output are expected to decrease, while the prices of animal products output are expected to increase.

As compared to the previous year, the prices of crop output are expected to decrease by 10.5%, mostly due to a decrease in the prices in groups of cereals and industrial plants, which have a large share in crop output, while the prices in all other groups are expected to increase.

The prices of livestock and animal products could increase by 21.6%. The prices in all livestock groups are expected to increase compared to 2022.

Concerning the prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture, it is expected that they will increase by 38.8% in the current year, as compared to the base 2015, while compared to the previous year, a decrease of 12.1% is expected.
