STRUCTURE OF PERSONS IN PAID EMPLOYMENT, BY NET AND GROSS EARNINGS BY ACTIVITIES, SITUATION AS IN MARCH 2022

Regarding the amount of the net earnings paid for March 2022, the structure of persons in paid employment in full time in legal entities of the Republic of Croatia shows that 1.6% of them received up to 3 750 kuna, 51.3% received from 3 751 to 7 200 kuna, and 27.9% received from 7 201 to 10 000 kuna. Net earnings that exceeded 10 000 kuna received 19.1% of persons in paid employment in legal entities.

Regarding the amount of the gross earnings paid for March 2022, the structure of persons in paid employment in full time in legal entities of the Republic of Croatia shows that 3.2% of them received up to 4 688 kuna, 52.8% received from 4 689 to 9 000 kuna, and 29.2% received from 9 001 to 14 000 kuna. Gross earnings that exceeded  14 000 kuna received 14.7% of persons in paid employment in legal entities.

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Since 2016, data on the structure of persons in employment by the amount of paid net and gross earnings in legal entities in the Republic in Croatia have been gathered by processing data from the Report on Income, Income Tax and Surtax as well as Contributions for Mandatory Insurances (JOPPD form), in effect since 1 January 2014.

All persons or entities that are payers of income for which the income tax regulations prescribe the obligation of accounting and paying deduction tax are under the obligation to submit the JOPPD form.

Data comprises persons in employment in legal entities of all types of ownership, government bodies as well as bodies of local and regional self-government units on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Persons employed in crafts and trades and free lances as well as employed insured persons – private farmers are not covered, so data on their pays are not included in the data on average earnings.
