Sources and methods of data collection
Data on the first estimate of the production of some important late crops in 2021 are provided with the situation as on 1 September, while field crops are presented as an actual production that will be used after the harvest is completed, providing that the grain has a strictly defined wetness value, even after the deduction of all losses.
The above-mentioned data are actually the first information issued by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics on the production of important late crops. The estimate on production is done for maize, sugar beets, sunflowers and soya beans.
The Croatian Bureau of Statistics provides data on early estimates of the production of important late crops on the following bases:
- results of the Survey on Actual Yield of Early Crops and Fruits, 2021 (PO-32 form) for business entities and parts thereof
- available administrative sources of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Farm Register of the Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and other relevant sources.
